Volunteering at Pardesa
At certain times of the year we host people looking for a volunteering experience in an atmosphere of mindfulness, contributing to the land and the agricultural aspect of our center.
We’ll offer our generosity and service to the Earth, to the soil and to all those who will practice at Pardesa in the future. At the same time we’ll be learning by doing, both regarding permaculture and applied ecology as well as mindfulness. The activities include:
- making compost
- pruning
- harvesting in the orchard and the vegetable garden
- shoveling, moving wheelbarrows, digging, etc.
- building with wood
- preparing our center (meditation hall, guest rooms, etc.) for retreats and courses
Volunteering periods usually last one week and require participation in the mindfulness practices of our center, including noble silence at night and early morning.
Given the physical nature of the agricultural activities, the volunteering experience is intended typically for people between 20 and 40 years of age.
